Daniel powter's Under the Radar is the most awaited album of the year 2008 .This canadian singer came into light by his single 'Bad Day' from the album Daniel Powter. His song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 seven weeks after it was released, and also rocketed to number one on the Adult Top 40 and Adult Contemporary charts.It made Powter the first solo Canadian male artist to top the Hot 100 since Bryan Adams in 1995.He was nominated at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards for Hot 100 single of the year for his hit single "Bad Day", but lost. However "Bad Day" was still named Billboard #1 song of the year in 2006.Powter's next singles varied worldwide with "Jimmy Gets High", "Free Loop", and "Lie to Me" all being released in different parts of the world. So far, however, they have failed to match the enormous success of "Bad Day".

The Verve - Forth [2008]

Forth is the fourth album by English alternative rock band The Verve and was released internationally on August 25, 2008, and a day later in North America.[ The album is the band's first release since reforming in 2007 and touring at various festivals in 2008. It is also the band's first album of new material since Urban Hymns was released in 1997, excluding two unreleased tracks on the singles compilation album This Is Music: The Singles 92-98.
The album's first single, "Love Is Noise", received its first airplay by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 on June 23, 2008.[ band also released a non-album track, "Mover", as a free digital download a week later.The album was leaked on August 13. On August 19, The Verve put all of the album online on their MySpace for one week, allowing everyone to listen to the songs in their entirety.
